Research fellows belong to one of six regional groups: East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Eurasia, the Middle East and Africa, and the Americas. In addition, research fellows are expected to join one of twelve thematic research groups to publish collaborative research. They are responsible for creating both long-form and short-form articles, as well as news-related content for Vanguard Think Tank’s social media accounts. The position is entirely online and work is completed outside of biweekly research group meetings.
Research fellows at Vanguard enjoy the opportunity to get published, meet and work with like-minded students and professionals from around the world, and even begin working in management. Vanguard Think Tank also organizes professional development events for fellows and provides a vast professional network of active members and alumni, as well as opportunities to work with our partner organizations, including the V-BRYGE conference.
Applicants should be:
eager, open-minded high school students, university students, or professionals
interested in research in the social sciences
open to learn and advance their research and writing skills
able to commit 5-10 hours a week, including research meetings and organization-wide gatherings
willing to research collaboratively and learn from their peers
great team players
in possession of good communication and time management skills
